NEW ZEALAND - PURE AND NATURAL

BASIC FACTS
New Zealand is a small country - about the size of Great Britain, Colorado or Japan, with a population of only four million people, so it's amazingly uncrowded.

New Zealand's spectacularly beautiful landscape includes vast mountain chains, steaming volcanoes, sweeping coastlines, deeply indented fiords and lush rainforests. In the north, it's sub-tropical and in the south it is clean and brisk.

New Zealand is often called the human's last unpolluted paradise on Earth. With small population, no industrial pollution and emission and very restricted ecology and nature protection law, New Zealand is the 100% purest and unpolluted country in the world.

NEW ZEALAND SHEEP

Sheep outnumber people in New Zealand 10 to 1 and are a natural icon for the country. Living in the green hills and gentle, unpolluted climate, New Zealand sheep graze free-range in open pasture all year round. Sheep live the good life in New Zealand, free from cruelty and muelsing.

NEW ZEALAND MANUKA TREE AND MANUKA HONEY
The New Zealand Tea Tree is unique to New Zealand and is common to the drier east coast of the North Island.

Tea Tree or Manuka as it's called in Maori, has long been valued by the Maori people for its healing properties.

Honey from Manuka tree is famous for very high levels of antibacterial and antifungal activity, outperforming other honeys 2-to-1 in fighting E. Coli and other bacteria, according to researchers at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand.

What is known as 'Active' Manuka Honey has enjoyed growing recognition in recent years, and reports of the honey's unique properties has reached the world's press and media.

To get Manuka honey, beekeepers set up their hives in wild uncultivated areas in which Manuka bushes grow. The bees gather nectar and pollen from the large green manuka bushes, and this adds up to this special New Zealand honey.
ROTURUA REGION AND  ROTORUA THERMAL MUD
Being straddled over two tectonic plates and sitting on the Pacific 'ring of fire' blesses New Zealand with some spectacular geothermal areas and relaxing hot springs.

Rotorua is the centre of geothermal activity, with plenty of mud pools, geysers, and hot springs - not to mention its trademark 'Sulphur City' smell.

Hot pools are ranging in color from turquoise blue, rich green and gold to an almost olive/yellow, caused by mineral salts in the water including arsenic, gold and silver.

The reputed health benefits of its hot pools earned the area the name of 'Cureland'.

Thermal mud from Roturua area is particularly rich in minerals because of the constant contact that the mud has with volcanic gases and minerals from deep within the Earth.
